The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Striking? 2 And what have you understood, what the event that terrifies the hearts is! 3 [It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths 4 And the mountains shall become as wool carded, 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Balance 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
