Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 What though they would say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
