The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
