The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful; 3 Lord of the Day of Judgement. 4 Thee alone do we worship; and unto Thee alone do we turn for aid. 5 (Lord), guide us to the right path, 6 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured. Not of those on whom is indignation brought down, nor of the astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
