But those who deny Our signs - We will progressively lead them [to destruction] from where they do not know. 182 for, behold, though I may give them rein for a while. My subtle scheme is exceedingly firm! 183 Do they not reflect that their companion has not unsoundness in mind; he is only a plain warner. 184 Have they, then, never considered [God's] mighty dominion over the heavens and the earth, and all the things that God has created, and [asked themselves] whether, perchance, the end of their own term might already have drawn nigh? In what other tiding, then, will they, after this, believe? 185 Whomsoever Allah sendeth astray, no guide is then for him, and He letteth them wander perplexed in their exorbitance. 186 They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): "When will be its appointed time?" Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden." They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone) but most of mankind know not." 187 Say: 'I do not have the power to acquire benefits or to avert harm from myself, except by the Will of Allah. Had I possessed knowledge of the unseen, I would have availed myself of much that is good, and no harm would have touched me. But I am only a warner and a bearer of glad tidings for a nation who believe. 188
