The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
