T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
