The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 who observe Zakah; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
