The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
