And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
