In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
