O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
