And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
