Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 exclude me from the unjust people". 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
