The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
