S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a nation did We destroy before them! (When they approached their doom) they cried out (for deliverance), but the time for deliverance was already past. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This is an enchanter, a liar. 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 Has this Exhortation been sent down among us only to him, to the exclusion of all others?” Nay, they are in doubt regarding My Exhortation, and are saying all this because they have not yet had any taste of My chastisement. 8 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your, (Muhammad's), Lord, the Majestic and Munificent God? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 They will be one more army vanquished among the many routed hordes. 11 Before them (were many who) rejected messengers,- the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified. 14
