Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
