HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
