Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
