The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
