The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water poured out 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
