The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
