The Ant (Al-Naml)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and of the illustrious Book 1 a guidance and glad tidings to believers, 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 You have received the Koran from the Wise, the Knower. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 So, when he came to it, he was called: 'Blessed is he who is in the fire, and he who is about it. Glory be to God, the Lord of all Being! 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 Excepting any who may have done wrong and thereafter changeth evil for good then verily I am Forgiving, Merciful. 11 Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
