Have you not seen that your Lord increases the shadow. Had He wanted He would have made it stationary], and has made the sun their guide. 45 Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages. 46 It is He who has made the night as a covering for you, sleep as a rest for you, and the day for you to rise again. 47 And it is He who has loosed the winds, bearing good tidings before His mercy; and We sent down from heaven pure water 48 so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men. 49 And indeed We kept cycles of water among them that they may remember; so most men did not accept, except to be ungrateful. 50 Had We pleased We could have raised a warner in every town. 51 Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an). 52 ۞ AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water - the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban. 53 And it is He Who created man from water, then appointed relatives and in-laws for him; and your Lord is All Able. 54 Yet they worship, instead of Allah, those who can neither benefit them nor harm them: more than this, the disbeliever has become a helper of every rebel against his Lord. 55 We have sent thee not, except good tidings to bear, and warning. 56 Say: "For this, no reward do I ask of you - [no reward] other than that he who so wills may unto his Sustainer find a way!" 57 Have trust in God the Living, who will never die, and sing His hallelujas; for He is well aware of the sins of His creatures. 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He is firmly established on the throne of authority; the Beneficent Allah, so ask respecting it one aware. 59 Yet when they [who are bent on denying the truth are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Most Gracious" they are wont to ask, "And [who and] what is the Most Gracious? Are we to prostrate ourselves before whatever thou biddest us [to worship]?" - and so [thy call] but increases their aversion, ۩ 60
