And We are not to be outrun. 60 Had We so wished, nothing could have hindered Us from replacing you by others like yourselves, or transforming you into beings you know nothing about. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Ponder upon the soil you till, 63 Do you make it grow or is it We who make it grow? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 'We are debt-loaded; 66 nay, we are deprived [altogether]." 67 And have you seen the water that you drink? 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 [It comes down sweet - but] were it Our will, We could make it burningly salty and bitter: why, then, do you not give thanks [unto Us]? 70 Have you considered the fire which you strike? 71 Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74
