▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 If he is among the near 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
