Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
