The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 covered down upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
