The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 The closing night, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
