The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
