Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
