Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
