Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
