The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
