Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote error. 116 They [the polytheists] call upon female deities, and they invoke none but Satan, the rebellious one, 117 Whom Allah cursed, and he said: Surely I will take of Thy bondmen an appointed portion, 118 and I will lead them astray, and fill them with fancies and I will command them and they will cut off the cattle's ears; I will command them and they will alter God's creation.' Whoso takes Satan to him for a friend, instead of God, has surely suffered a manifest loss. 119 he holds out promises to them, and fills them with vain desires: but Satan's promises are nothing but delusion. 120 These are they whose abode is hell, and they shall not find any refuge from it. 121 But those that believe, and do deeds of righteousness, them We shall admit to gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling for ever and ever; God's promise in truth; and who is truer in speech than God? 122 It will not be in accordance with your desires, nor the desires of the People of the Scripture. He who doeth wrong will have the recompense thereof, and will not find against Allah any protecting friend or helper. 123 Whoever does good and believes -whether he is male or female - such shall enter the Garden, and they shall not be wronged in the slightest. 124 Who is better in faith than one who submits himself wholly to God, acts righteously, and follows the religion of Abraham, the upright in faith, whom God chose for a friend? 125 To God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, and God encompasses everything. 126
