The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
