This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
