The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
