Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A crowd of earlier generations 39 And a company of the later peoples. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 They had lived in luxury before this 45 And they persisted in the great violation. 46 And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say: "Indeed, the earlier and the later generations 49 Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." 50 Then you, you misguided ones, who deny the truth, 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 And shall fill therewith your bellies. 53 and will thereupon have to drink [many a draught] of burning despair 54 drinking it as thirsty camels do.” 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 We created you, then why do you believe not? 57 Have you thought about [the semen] that you discharge -- 58 Do you yourselves create it, or are We the Creators? 59 We have [indeed] decreed that death shall be [ever-present] among you: but there is nothing to prevent Us 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? 62 Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground. 63 Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 nay; we have been undone!” 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds or is it We Who brought it down? 69 If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks? 70 Have you seen the fire which you kindle? 71 Produce ye the tree thereof, or are We the Producer? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
