The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
