The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
