The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
