We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
