We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
