Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
