Surely Ibrahim was an exemplar, obedient to Allah, upright, and he was not of the polytheists. 120 [for he was always] grateful for the blessings granted by Him who had elected him and guided him onto a straight way. 121 And We gave him good in the world, and in the Hereafter he is among the righteous. 122 We sent you, (Muhammad), a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan. 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. 125 If you have to retaliate, do so to the extent you have been injured; but if you forbear it is best for those who bear with fortitude. 126 And be patient; yet is thy patience only with the help of God. And do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 127 Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun (good-doers, - see the footnote of V. 9:120). 128
