This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
