Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
