And he who believed said: O my people! follow me, I will guide you to the right course; 38 O my people! this life of the world is only a (passing) enjoyment, and surely the hereafter is the abode to settle; 39 Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account. 40 ۞ “And O my people! What is the matter with me that I call you towards salvation whereas you call me towards hell?” 41 You call me to disbelieve in God, and to associate with Him that whereof I have no knowledge, while I call you to the All-mighty, the All-forgiving. 42 "Without doubt ye do call me to one who is not fit to be called to, whether in this world, or in the Hereafter; our return will be to Allah; and the Transgressors will be Companions of the Fire! 43 Soon you will remember what I say to you! I shall entrust my affair to God, for God is observant of all [His] servants." 44 Wherefore Allah protected him from ills which they plotted, and there surrounded the family of Fir'awn the evil of torment. 45 The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment." 46 And, when they will dispute in the Fire, the weak will say to those who were arrogant; "Verily! We followed you, can you then take from us some portion of the Fire?" 47 But those who were proud will reply: 'All of us are in it (Hell). Allah has judged between His worshipers' 48 And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna (Hell): 'Call your Lord to lessen our punishment for one day' 49 They shall say, 'Did not your Messengers bring you the clear signs?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed.' They shall say, 'Then do you call!' But the calling of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
