Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 In a Garden on high, 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And chosen goblets. 14 Cushions arranged, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
